Dear Lincoln School Community,
This past Wednesday, our students joined with those throughout the District and across the world to participate in “Global School Play Day.” It was a fun day filled with board games, arts and crafts, and group activities as students shared their interests and passions with one another. Research demonstrates a great value in the participation by children in unstructured play, which also teaches us more about our students while helping to build community. In the words of Plato, “You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.” We already can’t wait for the next GSPD!
Thank you to all in the Lincoln community who donated to the recent Drive during Martin Luther King, Jr., week to benefit "Pawsitively Furever Dog Rescue." The items were delivered last weekend, and will benefit dogs and puppies awaiting adoption. Thank you to Ms. Wiebe for coordinating the Drive. Way to go Lincoln School!!
Thank you also to all who donated a newly published book to our media center through our “Lincoln Library Lovers” program. This is a wonderful way to provide a lasting donation to our school. We appreciate your support of our media center!
With Valentine’s Day approaching, as a reminder, children may bring in Valentine’s Day cards for their classmates, but we are not permitted to distribute cards that have candy, chocolates, etc., attached to them. If children do bring in Valentine’s, please ensure that they have one for each member of the class.
