Dear Lincoln School Community,
Today, a team of fifth grade students conducted an interview with New York Giant legend and NFL Hall of Famer Harry Carson as part of our “Lion’s Den” broadcasting series! Mr. Carson first spoke to our third through fifth graders and shared a message of always doing one’s best regardless of the endeavor, and being kind to all. Mr. Carson was then interviewed by our fifth grade newscasters, under the direction of Mr. Patanella, Mrs. Husstege, and Mrs. Panzitta. Thank you to our teachers, to parent Mr. Berger for arranging the visit, and especially to Mr. Harry Carson for speaking to our students today. We learned so much from his life experience and were all inspired to continue to “do our best!”

There are a number of workshops and events for parents throughout the remainder of the school year. Included on the schedule is an upcoming workshop for K-5 parents entitled "Fostering Literacy at Home," hosted by Lincoln School Instructional Coach, Mrs. Velez, and Reading Specialist, Mrs. Barbieri. Save the date! The Wyckoff Education Foundation’s annual Casino Night will be held on Thursday, March 2nd from 7-11 pm at Macaluso’s in Hawthorne. Please consider joining the community for a fun and memorable evening of dinner, cocktails, a silent auction, and dancing. The Wyckoff Education Foundation (WEF) raises funds that support the educational mission of each of the five Wyckoff schools. Although the weather is cold, we are already planning for the upcoming school year! One of the most exciting parts of the year is welcoming our newest Lincoln Lions to our school, and the first step in this process is the registration of our incoming Kindergarteners. Parents and guardians of incoming Kindergarteners, please click here for information on registering your child in the digital portal for September 2023. The portal will be available beginning on Friday, January 27, 2023. If you have an incoming Kindergartener that will be attending Lincoln School in September 2023, please email Mrs. DiMeglio at mdimeglio@wyckoffschools.org so that we may begin planning accordingly. Please select that the child you are registering is a sibling of a current student, and use the drop down showing that your older child attends Lincoln School.
The Lincoln School Student Council invites you to show your PRIDE by participating in our “BETTER TOGETHER Super Bowl Food Drive Competition!” Every grocery item donated will help local families in need through Social Services. The “NFC” Conference (Grades K, 1 & 5) will compete against the “AFC” Conference (Grades 2, 3 & 4) in a lead up to the big game.
