Dear Lincoln School Community,
Today, we welcomed the esteemed group “The Young Lions,” who performed a traditional Lunar New Year Lion Dance for our entire student body. The students were so excited to see the Lion Dance, and enthralled with the dancing lion and accompanying drum beats. Special thanks to Mrs. Perry for coordinating and the Lincoln PTO for financially supporting the visit today, and helping to create an experience that students will remember for years to come. Happy New Year to all who are celebrating!
This past Tuesday, our 5th Grade Advanced Instrumental Band performed a terrific winter concert under the direction of Mr. Weidman and Mr. Vetrero. There were two performances, with students in grades K-3 enjoying the first show, and students in grades 4-5 as well as families and guests being treated to the second show. I was so impressed with the talent as well as evidence of hard work by our students in preparation for the concert.
Thank you to all who attended and helped organize the Lincoln Military Bridge event last night. It was a terrific evening of fun and community-building in support of our wonderful PTO. Congratulations to those that walked away winners!

There are a number of workshops and events for parents throughout the remainder of the school year. Included on the schedule is an upcoming workshop for K-5 parents entitled "Fostering Literacy at Home," hosted by Lincoln School Instructional Coach, Mrs. Velez, and Reading Specialist, Mrs. Barbieri. Save the date! The Wyckoff Education Foundation’s annual Casino Night will be held on Thursday, March 2nd, from 7-11 pm at Macaluso’s in Hawthorne. Please consider joining the community for a fun and memorable evening of dinner, cocktails, a silent auction, and dancing. The Wyckoff Education Foundation (WEF) raises funds that support the educational mission of each of the five Wyckoff schools. Although the weather is cold, we are already planning for the upcoming school year! One of the most exciting parts of the year is welcoming our newest Lincoln Lions to our school, and the first step in this process is the registration of our incoming Kindergarteners. Parents and guardians of incoming Kindergarteners, please click here for information on registering your child in the digital portal for September 2023. The portal will be available beginning on Friday, January 27, 2023. If you have an incoming Kindergartener that will be attending Lincoln School in September 2023, please email Mrs. DiMeglio at mdimeglio@wyckoffschools.org so that we may begin planning accordingly. Please select that the child you are registering is a sibling of a current student, and use the drop down showing that your older child attends Lincoln School.
