Dear Lincoln School Community,
The holiday season is in full swing here at Lincoln School! This past week, students were invited to shop at the annual Holiday Mall, and to purchase gifts for family, friends, and even pets. They were so excited to pick out special items for their loved ones, and I know that they can't wait to give these gifts in the coming weeks. Thank you to our PTO volunteers, including our chairs Mrs. Hurley and Mrs. Finkelstein, for organizing and facilitating this event. In addition, the 4th and 5th Grade Chorus Holiday Concert is scheduled for Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 1:30 pm in the Lincoln School gymnasium. We hope to see many of you in attendance to see and hear the wonderful talents of our 4th and 5th graders!
Report cards will be available for viewing on Genesis at the conclusion of the school day on Friday, December 16th. Please check that you have access to your Genesis Parent Portal account prior to that date. If you have any difficulty accessing the portal, please email our Genesis help desk at genesis@wyckoffps.org.
As you may know, Mrs. Rodriguez (at Sicomac and Coolidge) and Mrs. Merino (at Lincoln and Washington) serve in the roles of elementary school World Language teachers in the Wyckoff School District. For the timeframe of December 12, 2022 until February 13, 2023, Mrs. Merino will serve in the role of World Language teacher for the four elementary schools while Mrs. Rodriguez will be instructing Spanish at Eisenhower Middle School.
Finally, I would like to remind parents to please use the crosswalk when walking with their children from the parking lot to the sidewalk, particularly during morning drop-off. I have seen several incidents recently of children running or walking from the lot to the sidewalk and not looking as cars are coming through the drop-off line. The use of the crosswalk provides those coming through the drop-off line with ample opportunity to see any pedestrians waiting to cross. Thank you, the safety and wellbeing of our students is of utmost importance, and I appreciate your follow through!

PLAYGROUND SAFETY
We encourage our students to take advantage of the fun, fitness, and community atmosphere that our playgrounds and fields offer, including after school. When using the playgrounds and fields after school students should be supervised by parent or adult and be sure to follow safety rules. Thank you for helping keep our playgrounds and fields safe for all.
