Dear Lincoln School Community,

Congratulations to our 4th and 5th grade beginner bands on a terrific spring instrumental concert on Tuesday! Conducted by Mr. Weidman and Mr. Vetrero, our young musicians played a variety of musical selections, and did a wonderful job in both the daytime and evening concert. Thank you to our students for sharing their talents with the Lincoln School community!

Thank you to our PTO for a wonderful end-of-year brunch and celebration this past Thursday! I am grateful for such an amazing and supportive Parent Teacher Organization. The support and collaboration of our families is vital to the success of our students, and I look forward to continuing our partnership in the upcoming school year. Thank you especially to our Executive Board, including PTO President Mrs. DeLorenzo, for their steady leadership throughout the year. Finally, congratulations to our Abe Award recipients, Mrs. Bouloukos, Mrs. DeLorenzo, and Mrs. Seifert. We will miss you and your families, and thank you for your support over the years at Lincoln School!

Our Kindergarten celebrations will be held this upcoming week, on the mornings of  June 13th and 14th, on the Kindergarten blacktop. We can't wait to celebrate our youngest Lincoln Lions as they prepare to become 1st graders! Please see the times in the "Important Dates" section below.

Our 5th grade families are invited to our "5th Grade Farewell," scheduled for Tuesday, June 20th, at 9:15 am. This event will be held outside (weather permitting), and we will recognize all of our departing Lincoln Lions with a certificate of appreciation. In addition, several 5th grade awards will be distributed. We look forward to wishing our 5th graders well as they head off to middle school!

Lastly, attention all 3rd, 4th and 5th graders! Due to great student interest in physical education we have added a second (completely optional) opportunity to complete the timed mile run. No sign ups needed, if your student is interested please meet Mr. White and Ms. Miller in the gym on Monday, June 12th at 8:20 am. Please note this is weather (and air quality) permitting!

Just a reminder that our field day was rescheduled for Friday, June 16th from 9:00 am to 11:15 am.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely,

Patrick Lee

Principal

WEF “BACK TO SCHOOL” COLOR FUN RUN & FAMILY PICNIC

We are very excited to share that the Wyckoff Education Foundation (WEF) has announced a “Back to School” Color Fun Run on September 9, 2023.  This will be the official kick off of the school year for the entire community.  Celebration will start with a color run around the perimeter of Eisenhower Middle School, followed by a family picnic with food trucks.  Packets will be sent home with more information.  Click here to see more details on the event:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4K_OJ5EYGRg

Additionally, there is some friendly competition among the 5 schools:

•       “Top School for Donations Raised” Receives a $500 Bonus to their PE program

•       “Winners Circle”: Top 3 – 5 students from each school get to:
           - Stand with DJ and shout - “Runners start your race!”
           - “Blast” their principal with color

Obviously, we want to win the “Top School for Donations”!  Please help us get there!  Every little bit counts!  Funds will be used across the Wyckoff School District to fund scholastic programs outside of the school budget.  Let’s win this!  What a great way to start the new year!

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out directly to WEF at info@wefnj.org or 201-977-2885
