Lincoln Logo

Dear Lincoln School Community,

It is hard to believe that we are in the middle of May, and this means that springtime events are in full swing here at Lincoln School! Upcoming events include the spring National Bike & Walk to School Day, a number of class trips, the 5th Grade Musical, as well as other classroom activities. Please be sure to check the school calendar on our website, as well as the “Important Dates” section below, for dates and times. It’s an exciting time as we head into the final month of the school year!

Our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders worked hard on the NJSLA assessment this past week. I’m proud of each of them for trying their very best! The assessment continues with Math on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week. The assessment will begin at the very start of the day, so please try to ensure that your son or daughter is at school on time during testing.

Thank you to those who attended our annual Lincoln Art Show this past Thursday night.  We had an amazing turnout, and it was terrific to see the joy on the kids’ faces as they shared their artwork with friends and family.  Thank you to Ms. Linz for her hard work in preparing for this event.

Please note that our 4th and 5th grade Spring Instrumental Band Concert will be held on Tuesday, June 6th, at 2:00 pm for students and 7:00 pm for parents and guests. The performances will be held in the school gymnasium. We hope to see you there!

Please note that our Kindergarten Sibling Preview, for the siblings of all current Lincoln students who are registered to attend Kindergarten during the 2023-2024 school year, will be held on the morning of Friday, May 19th. A letter was emailed previously with the exact times assigned. If you have not received an email, please contact Mrs. DiMeglio at 201-848-5720 or

As a reminder, at the most recent Board of Education meeting, the Board revised the student calendar due to the two unused snow days. As a result, the last day of school for students will now be on Tuesday, June 20th. This will be a minimum day for students. The 5th Grade Farewell and 5th Grade Clapout will also now be held on Tuesday, June 20th. The 5th Grade Memory Book Breakfast will be held on Monday, June 19th.

Finally, I would like to wish a very Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms in the Lincoln School community. I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your special day!
