Dear Lincoln School Community,
This past Tuesday and Wednesday, our students had the opportunity to visit the Spring Book Fair. Students enjoyed picking out books and sharing them with their classmates and families. I welcome any opportunity to encourage a love of reading in our students and get them excited to open a brand new book. I would like to thank our PTO, including our chairperson, Mrs. Hawkinson, as well as our many parent volunteers, for another widely successful Fall Book Fair!
The Fifth Grade is hosting their annual “Giving Back” fundraiser through an Ice Cream Social on Thursday, April 20 at 3:20 pm! This is a "student-run” fundraising event hosted by the fifth graders. Donations will benefit “Make a Wish Foundation.” Please consider joining us, and kindly let us know if you are coming by April 10, so our 5th graders can plan accordingly. Note that this is not a ‘drop-off’ event. For more information and the link to RSVP, click here:
Finally, please note that all District schools will be closed for Spring Break from Friday, April 7th through Friday, April 14th. Schools will reopen on Monday, April 17th. Have a wonderful break, and Happy Passover and Happy Easter to all of our families who are celebrating!

5TH GRADE PARENT TRANSITION NIGHT
Attention fifth-grade parents! Eisenhower Middle School is hosting a 6th-grade Transition Night on Thursday, April 20, 2023, from 6:30-7:30 pm. Meet Mr. Faehndrich, the principal, Mrs. Linzenbold, the assistant principal, and your child's guidance counselor, Ms. Ward. Hear about the middle school day, ask questions, and get a tour by student peer facilitators.
NJ SLA TESTING DATES
Please note the following dates for the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJ SLA) for students in grades 3-5. The assessments will begin after the morning meeting each day, at approximately 9:15 am.
