Dear Lincoln School Community,

This past Tuesday, the number 3.14 was on everyone's minds as students participated in a series of fun math games and activities in honor of the number Pi. Thank you to our parents who assisted, and a special note of gratitude to our parent coordinators, Mrs. Joudeh and Mrs. Pianelli, as well as our Lincoln staff for facilitating the lessons.

On Wednesday, our 4th graders were treated to a visit to the Wyckoff Zabriskie House.  Students had an opportunity to learn about the early settlers in Wyckoff.  Thank you to the Curriculum Department, our 4th grade teachers, and the Zabriskie House volunteers for supporting this event.

I invite you to join us on Thursday, March 30th, from 4:30-6:00 pm for our annual “Lincoln School Makerspace Family Night.”  This event is being presented as part of the Wyckoff Connected Parent Series, and will be held in our Multi-Purpose Room.  You will have an opportunity to participate in activities and use tools similar to those that your children enjoy in our Makerspace.  “Make” alongside your child with assistance from some of our teachers and staff.  Click here for more information about the Wyckoff Connected Parent series.  We look forward to seeing you on March 30th at our Family Makerspace Night!

Report cards will be going live on Genesis on Friday, March 24th at the end of the school day.  Report cards are essential tools of communication between your child's teacher and you, as parents.  I look forward to continued collaboration between home and school as we work together to ensure your child's academic success.  If you have any difficulty accessing the portal, please email our Genesis helpdesk at https://parents.wyckoffps.org/genesis/sis/view?gohome=true

Finally, I ask for your support in being mindful of the start time for the school day. In the past few weeks, I’ve noticed an increase in students being tardy for school, which begins at 8:50 am. I thank you in advance for your cooperation. As a parent myself, I know it can be difficult at times to get the children up and ready for school; however, it is important for them to start the day on time for Morning Meeting with their classmates, which sets the tone for the school day. If you need any support, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or your child’s teacher. Thank you again for your support!

Have a wonderful weekend, and Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Sincerely,

Patrick Lee

Principal
