Dear Lincoln School Community,

This afternoon at Lincoln School, our 5th graders entertained a packed house of students, families, and friends in their annual "5th Grade Talent Show!” Kudos to our students for sharing their amazing talents with the audience, and for having the courage to perform in front of hundreds. The show featured everything from musical acts to displays of athleticism to comedy and magic, and everything in between. A HUGE thank you to our staff advisors, Ms. Miller and Mrs. Provost, who worked so hard to put on the production and guide our students along the way. Great job to all who participated and assisted in the production!

It was an exciting week here at Lincoln School as we celebrated a love of reading with “Read Across America Week!” Students showed their schoolwide reading spirit by dressing in book-themed attire all week in honor of a variety of favorite book characters. In addition, on Monday, students and staff read together in the hallway as part of our “Schoolwide Community Read Together.” Thank you to Mrs. Husstege for coordinating Read Across America Week, and for celebrating in Media classes throughout the week. In fact, we love reading so much here at Lincoln School that we are extending the week to a full month dedicated to reading! Please stay tuned for additional announcements in the coming days, and a special gift for all Lincoln families on Monday.

As we head into March, we have a number of special upcoming events scheduled throughout the month. Please note some of the important dates listed below, including Dads’ Night, Pi Day, the 3rd & 4th Grade Grade Spring Concert, and Makerspace Night.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely,

Patrick Lee

Principal
