Dear Lincoln School Community,
Congratulations to our Fifth Grade students on their amazing production of the musical, The Little Mermaid. On Thursday, our entire student body was treated to a matinee show at 2:00 pm, with family and friends joining us later for the evening performance. Special thanks goes out to our music teacher, Mrs. Panzitta, for her tremendous work in preparing our students for the show. Thank you also to Mrs. Gibbison-Briggs and Mrs. Joudeh, our parent liaisons, our parent volunteers for assisting with costumes, and our 5th grade teachers and other staff that supported the production.
On Friday, we held our monthly Schoolwide Morning Meeting, centered around our May core value of “Courage.” Students reflected upon and shared how they can show courage here at school, and we celebrated our 5th graders for their courage in performing our school musical on Thursday. We even enjoyed a singalong of “Under the Sea,” led by our students who played the character of Sebastian in the musical. It was a great way to end the week and month of May!
Thank you to our volunteers and the Wyckoff Police Department for hosting a 3rd and 4th grade “Bike Safety Rally” this past Tuesday. This event, held on the day of our annual “Bike and Walk to School Day,” taught students the importance of bike safety and led them through a variety of stations in an obstacle course. Stay safe on the roads, Lincoln Lions!
Field Day is this coming Friday, June 5th! Please remember to wear sneakers for Field Day. There will be a lot of running activities and sneakers will work better than Kanes or Crocs. Sunscreen, water bottles and hats are all recommended as well. We are looking forward to another wonderful Field Day! Thank you in advance to all of the parent volunteers that make this such a successful event, and a special thanks to our PE teachers, Mr. White and Mr. Carroll.
Please note that our 4th and 5th grade spring Instrumental Band Concert will be held on Tuesday, June 2nd at 2:00 pm for students and 7:00 pm for parents and guests. The 7:00 pm performance will be held at Eisenhower Middle School in the Multi-Purpose Room.

Our Lincoln Art Show, where student artwork will be displayed, is scheduled for this coming Thursday, June 4th, beginning at 6 pm in the Lincoln School hallways. Thank you to Mr. Castellano for planning and preparing this special event. We hope to see you there!
With the end of the school year rapidly approaching, we are busy inventorying our Media Center. Mrs. Husstege and I ask that all library books are returned by Monday, June 1st. Please contact Mrs. Husstege with any questions. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
