Lincoln Logo

Dear Lincoln School Community,

This past week was designated as School Staff Appreciation Week. I would like to take a moment to acknowledge our wonderful teachers and staff for their tremendous work on behalf of the students of Lincoln School. I have the privilege of seeing firsthand their hard work, dedication, professionalism, and talent, and I am inspired by how much they care for and support our students. We are lucky to have such an amazing group of educators here at Lincoln School! Thank you to our Lincoln PTO for hosting an unbelievable week of celebration for our staff! Between the amazing staff luncheon to the delicious treats in the faculty room to extra surprises in staff mailboxes, we were well taken care of this week! We are extremely grateful for the support of our PTO, parents, and families.

Our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders worked hard on the NJSLA assessment this past week. I am proud of each of them for trying their very best! The assessment continues with Math on Wednesday, May 13th. Grade 5 students only will take the NJSLA Science assessment on Wednesday, May 20 and Thursday, May 21st. The assessments will begin at the very start of the day, so please try to ensure that your son or daughter is at school on time during testing.

Thank you to all who attended the Lincoln School Family Art Night last evening! Families enjoyed making a special painted wood slice project, and exploring their creative talents with one another. Thank you to Mr. Castellano for a fun evening! As a reminder, our Lincoln School Art Show will be held on Thursday, June 4th, at 6 pm

Letters regarding our Kindergarten Preview for the siblings of current Lincoln students were mailed out last Friday. If you do not receive a letter by next week and your child is registered for September, please contact Mrs. DiMeglio at mdimeglio@wyckoffschools.org. I also ask that you kindly email Mrs. DiMeglio to confirm if your child will be attending the preview time to which they were assigned.

The spring “Bike and Walk to School Day” for all students and the annual “Bike Safety Rally” for grades 3 and 4 are both scheduled for Tuesday, May 26th. Please be sure that your child’s bicycle is in good working order and that they have a well fitting helmet. There will be a series of obstacle course stations for our 3rd and 4th graders in addition to a safety assembly for several Wyckoff Police Officers.

We look forward to seeing many of our families at the 5th grade’s production of the musical The Little Mermaid on Thursday, May 28th. The matinee for students will be held at 2:00 pm, and the evening show for families and guests will be held at 7:00 pm in the Lincoln School gymnasium. In addition, our 4th and 5th grade Spring Instrumental Band Concert will be held on Tuesday, June 2nd.  Performances of the Spring Instrumental Band Concert will also be at 2:00 pm for students and 7:00 pm for guests.

For parents of current 5th graders, please note that the application for Subscription Busing to Eisenhower for the 2026-2027 school year will be available in mid-May 2026. It will be included in the Weekly Update in addition to being posted on the Eisenhower Middle School and Wyckoff Board of Education website. If you have any questions, please contact Nancy Meyer (201-848-5700 x6209).

Please join us on Tuesday, May 12th, for the final session of the Wyckoff PTO Coordinating Council’s Family Connection Series. The event will be held at Eisenhower Middle School at 7 pm, and the topic for this seminar is: “Summer Strong: Supporting Kids' Mental Health.”
