April 17, 2026
Dear Lincoln School Community,
As we head into Spring Break, I would like to wish our students, staff, and families a very happy, healthy, and relaxing week. I thank you for your collaboration and partnership throughout the first part of the school year, and look forward to a wonderful last few months together as a Lincoln School community!
The New Jersey Department of Education has published an NJSLA-A Informational Session recording. You can access the recording on the New Jersey Assessment Portal by clicking here: New Jersey Assessment Information Session. Additionally, please click here to view the letter from Dr. Postma and Mrs. White which was shared previously regarding the NJSLA-A assessment.
The third iReady diagnostic assessments in Mathematics and Reading have recently been administered. Some students may still be finishing the assessments. Please click here for a reminder on how to access your child’s report. Your child’s username and password may be found on the Genesis parent portal. Simply add “@wyckoffps.org” to your child’s username for their complete email address.
Recently, we have noticed an increase in the number of toys, fidgets, and “squishies” that students have brought to school. While these can be engaging for students, we have noticed that they often create significant distractions in the classroom. To help our students stay focused on learning, I am asking that all personal toys, fidgets, and "squishies" stay at home. If your child has a specific need outlined in a plan, we will continue to provide those accommodations. Thank you for your assistance and cooperation with this, as we work to keep our students focused and engaged during school.
Finally, please be aware that all District schools will be closed for Spring Break from Monday, April 20th through Friday, April 24th. Schools will reopen on Monday, April 27th. Have a wonderful break!
Sincerely,
Patrick Lee
Principal

“TEAM UP TO TIDY UP” LITTER CLEAN UP DAY:
The Wyckoff Environmental Commission is proud to celebrate our town’s 100-year Centennial by hosting its annual Team Up to Tidy Up town-wide litter cleanup on Saturday, April 25, 2026. We would like to invite all Wyckoff students to participate in this spring litter cleanup event, sponsored by the Environmental Commission and the NJ Clean Communities.
NJ Clean Communities, who helps to sponsor our cleanup, is partnering with Keep America Beautiful, a national organization, for their Great American Cleanup and is asking volunteers to take the GREATEST AMERICAN CLEANUP PLEDGE. We can take this pledge by working together to make our town and neighborhoods more beautiful to celebrate Wyckoff’s 100-year Centennial and in time for America’s 250th Birthday on July 4, 2026. And to help us to achieve this goal we are hoping to get at least 250 community volunteers to join us that day. This is a great opportunity for students to be recognized for their community service.
If you would like any further information, please email (Denise Capparelli) wec@wyckoffnj.gov or call me at 201-891-7000 ext.1180 for more information. If they cannot attend the event, we encourage you to help spread the message that keeping our environment litter-free reduces pollution, protects our waterways, and creates a cleaner, safer space for everyone. And remember—littering is against the law. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, April 25!
