Dear Lincoln School Community,

We held our March Schoolwide Morning Meeting today. We discussed the recent Neurodiversity Celebration Week, and the importance of accepting, respecting, and celebrating all members of our school community. Students reflected upon how they can show someone that they accept him or her, and we pledged to be a welcoming school for all learners. I also read an excerpt from a text entitled Good Different. It was a great way to start the day and end the week at Lincoln!

Thank you to our PTO for supporting an amazing assembly on Thursday, entitled Path to Rhythm! All students had an opportunity throughout the day to learn from our special guests about African drumming, and were able to play and dance along with our visiting musicians. It was a terrific day at Lincoln - ask your student about this memorable experience!

Report cards for the second marking period are available for viewing on Genesis. If you have any difficulty accessing the portal, please email our Genesis help desk at genesis@wyckoffps.org. Please refer to the links on the Wyckoff Public Schools website, found here, for further information on Standards-Based Report Cards. Of particular note is the benchmarks for each grade level, which provides details regarding the expectations for each report card indicator in core content areas. Thank you for your partnership and collaboration as we work together to support your child’s educational journey here at Lincoln School.

We are looking forward to another terrific “Dads’ Night” at Lincoln School this evening! Doors open at 6:30 pm, with a 7:00 show time. Thank you in advance to our Dads, who put in countless hours preparing for tonight’s show to benefit Lincoln School and bring our community together. Special appreciation goes to Mr. Jachens, Mr. Korinis and Mr. Neyman, our Dads’ Night Chairs. Thank you also to our PTO, custodians, and staff for their support.

The Third and Fourth Grade Spring Concert will be held on Wednesday, April 1st at 10:00 am (for students) and 2:00 pm (for parents and guests) in the gymnasium. We look forward to hearing the musical talents of our 3rd and 4th graders!

Please click here to view a letter in regards to New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA) for students in grade 3-5. The testing dates for Lincoln School are as follow:

English Language Arts (Grades 3-5) - Tuesday, May 5th, Thursday, May 7th
Mathematics (Grades 3-5) - Wednesday, May 13th
Science (Grade 5 only) - Wednesday, May 20th and Thursday, May 21st

Parents of 5th grade students, please note that all forms and payment for the Fairview Lakes YMCA trip for incoming 6th grade students is due by March 31st. Forms and payment may be dropped off in the red box outside the main office.

Finally, I ask for your help in keeping our parking lot safe, particularly during the busy morning drop-off time. Please note that the dropoff lane is dedicated for students that can safely exit the vehicle independently, with drivers remaining in the vehicle. If your child needs assistance exiting, I ask that you please park your vehicle to ensure that the lane moves along expeditiously. Additionally, with the nicer weather ahead, I expect an increase in bikers and walkers. Please follow all posted signs, use the designated drop-off area, and avoid blocking traffic. We also ask that you drive slowly, remain patient, and always watch for children, especially by the cross walks. Thank you for your cooperation and support in keeping our school community safe!

Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Patrick Lee

Principal

“TEAM UP TO TIDY UP” LITTER CLEAN UP DAY:

The Wyckoff Environmental Commission is proud to celebrate our town’s 100-year Centennial by hosting its annual Team Up to Tidy Up town-wide litter cleanup on Saturday, April 25, 2026. We would like to invite all Wyckoff students to participate in this spring litter cleanup event, sponsored by the Environmental Commission and the NJ Clean Communities.

NJ Clean Communities, who helps to sponsor our cleanup, is partnering with Keep America Beautiful, a national organization,  for their Great American Cleanup and is asking volunteers to take the GREATEST AMERICAN CLEANUP PLEDGE. We can take this pledge by working together to make our town and neighborhoods more beautiful to celebrate Wyckoff’s 100-year Centennial and in time for America’s 250th Birthday on July 4, 2026.  And to help us to achieve this goal we are hoping to get at least 250 community volunteers to join us that day.  This is a great opportunity for students to be recognized for their community service.

If you would like any further information, please email (Denise Capparelli) wec@wyckoffnj.gov or call me at 201-891-7000 ext.1180 for more information. If they cannot attend the event, we encourage you to help spread the message that keeping our environment litter-free reduces pollution, protects our waterways, and creates a cleaner, safer space for everyone. And remember—littering is against the law.  We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, April 25!
