Dear Lincoln School Community,
On Thursday, our 4th graders were treated to a visit to the historic Wyckoff Zabriskie House. Students had an opportunity to learn about the early settlers that lived right here in our own hometown. Thank you to the District Curriculum Department, our 4th grade teachers and staff, and the Zabriskie House volunteers for supporting and facilitating this visit.
Scientific exploration and creativity were on full display Wednesday evening at our Gr. 3-5 Science Fair! It was a wonderful evening of learning, and such a fun celebration of the creativity and talents of our students. Thank you to Mrs. Joudeh and Mrs. Woods for organizing this year's event and promoting it through our weekly Science Fair Trivia contest. We already can't wait for next year!
Report cards will be going live on the Genesis Parent Portal on Friday, March 27th at the end of the school day. Report cards are essential tools of communication between your child's teacher and you, as parents and guardians. I look forward to continued collaboration between home and school as we work together to ensure your child's academic success. If you have any difficulty accessing the portal, please email our Genesis helpdesk at genesis@wyckoffps.org.
The Third and Fourth Grade Spring Concert will be held on Wednesday, April 1st at 10 am (for students) and 2 pm (for parents and guests) in the gymnasium. We look forward to hearing the musical talents of our 3rd and 4th graders!

In addition to Read Across America Week, we will be extending our love of reading with a monthlong Lincoln Loves Reading celebration!. A schedule for the month, including suggested dates for chapter readings, may be found here. If your child and family would like to listen along to a Lincoln staff member read the chapters of Mr. Popper’s Penguins aloud, please click here to access the audio files. There are also select picture book videos from our staff included as well.
Parents of 5th grade students, please note that all forms and payment for the Fairview Lakes YMCA trip for incoming 6th grade students is due by March 31st. Forms and payment may be dropped off in the red box outside the main office.
Finally, I ask for your help in keeping our parking lot safe, particularly during the busy morning drop-off time. Please note that the dropoff lane is dedicated for students that can safely exit the vehicle independently, with drivers remaining in the vehicle. If your child needs assistance exiting, I ask that you please park your vehicle to ensure that the lane moves along expeditiously. Additionally, with the nicer weather ahead, I expect an increase in bikers and walkers. Please follow all posted signs, use the designated drop-off area, and avoid blocking traffic. We also ask that you drive slowly, remain patient, and always watch for children, especially by the cross walks. Thank you for your cooperation and support in keeping our school community safe!
Have a great weekend, and Eid Mubarak to all who celebrated!
Sincerely,
Patrick Lee
Principal
