Dear Lincoln School Community,
Thank you to our parent volunteers who led our “Masterpiece Art” sessions this past Wednesday on the artist Salvador Dali. Students enjoyed learning more about this legendary artist, and donning their “Dali” mustaches as well! Tuesday’s sessions were postponed to next Tuesday due to the delayed opening. We are so appreciative of our parent community for supporting our school, students, and staff.
"Read Across America Week," a nationally designated week devoted to a celebration of reading, begins on Monday, March 2nd. Thank you to our media specialist, Mrs. Husstege, for planning a fun and engaging week. Please click here to view the flyer, which includes dress-up days, and get ready to read! The celebration will kick off Monday morning with a special “hallway read” together as a school.
In addition to "Read Across America Week," Lincoln School is going to extend our love of literacy throughout the month of March. We have exciting events planned, including interactive activities, whole-school book reads, book giveaways, and more. This year, we are continuing the “One School, One Book” initiative and have chosen one book for Lincoln School to read together. On Monday, we will provide copies of Mr. Popper’s Penguins, by Florence and Richard Atwater, to each Lincoln School family and staff member. Thank you to our PTO for their support through the purchase of these books for our school community! We invite families to read along each night, or listen to chapters read aloud by Lincoln School staff members.
Please click here for a flyer about a parent information session from the NJ Department of Education about the NJSLA-A assessment. Families may sign up for the virtual session via the link on the flyer. Please note that the deadline to sign up is today, February 27th. Additional information regarding the assessment will be shared in upcoming Friday e-blasts.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Patrick Lee
Principal

5TH GRADE FAMILIES:
Please see the message below from Mr. Faehndrich, Principal of Eisenhower Middle School:
5th Grade Families,
I know it is hard to believe, but it is time to complete Eisenhower Middle School's course selections for next school year. Please submit all requests via the Genesis Parent Portal under the "Scheduling" tab by the end of February. Ensure you read all instructions carefully and click the "Submit" button once your selections are finalized.
Below are the course selection details for your review:
Music
Students must complete a music course request to select their preferred instrument or vocal music option. Each student is required to provide a first and second choice. If your student currently plays an instrument, they should list that as their first choice.
Available options include:
- Brass Low (Trombone, Baritone, and Tuba)
- Brass High (Trumpets and French Horns)
- Clarinet
- Flute
- Percussion
- Saxophone
- Strings
- Vocal Music
Middle school music teachers will collaborate with elementary teachers to ensure students who currently play an instrument are placed in their preferred choice whenever possible.
World Language
Students must select a world language course from the following options, ranking them in order of preference (First Choice and Second Choice):
- Spanish
- Italian
While we strive to place students in their top choice, final placements will be based on availability.
If you encounter any issues, please contact genesis@wyckoffps.org.
