Dear Lincoln School Community,
The Lincoln School Student Council invites you to participate in our “Super Bowl Food Drive Competition!” The Drive will be held from February 2nd through February 13th. Every grocery item donated will help local families in need through the Social Services Association of Ridgewood and Vicinity. Our teams, divided up by grade level, will compete to see who collects the most grocery items. Each team will have a labeled box in the Multipurpose Room. No food with expired dates please, and thank you in advance for your contribution. Please click here to view the flyer for additional information.
With Valentine’s Day approaching, as a reminder, students may bring in Valentine’s Day cards for their classmates, but we are not permitted to distribute cards that have candy, chocolates, etc., attached to them. Instead, students may add a non-edible item such as a sticker, pencil, etc., if they so choose. If students do bring in Valentine’s, please ensure that they have one for each member of the class.
Parents and guardians of incoming Kindergarteners, please click here for information on registering your child in the digital portal for September 2026. If you have an incoming Kindergartener who will be five years of age on or before October 1, 2026 and will be attending Lincoln School in September, please email Mrs. DiMeglio at mdimeglio@wyckoffschools.org so that we may begin planning accordingly. When registering, please select that your incoming Kindergartener is a sibling of a current student by using the drop down indicating that your older child attends Lincoln School.
The next Family Connection Series presentation sponsored by the Wyckoff Curriculum Council will be held on Tuesday, February 3rd at 7pm at Eisenhower Middle School. This session, entitled “Raising Resilience,” will explore resiliency--what it is, the factors that contribute to resiliency, and how parents can grow resiliency in their children. Please click here to sign up.
Lincoln School’s Annual Science Fair will be held on Wednesday, March 18th from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm. All students in grades 3-5 are welcome to participate. Please register your child clicking on this link by Friday, February 13th. Projects may be completed individually or in groups of 2 or 3. Students should sign up only after a topic has been selected; please do not sign up with TBD. Only one student/team will be approved for a particular topic, so we are asking that you please check the list before signing up your child to ensure that your topic is not already taken. For more information, read the FAQs found here, which is located in the Friday Folder.
As a reminder, the lane in the parking lot directly across from the gate on Lucas Lane is one-way only, heading away from the gate into the Lincoln School parking lot. Please adhere to this direction, as it enables a safe and efficient flow of traffic, by going away from Lucas Lane and heading back down another lane. The mounds of snow make it particularly difficult to see vehicles and pedestrians in the lot. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and helping work together to keep our students, staff, and families safe!
Have a wonderful weekend, and stay warm!
Sincerely,
Patrick Lee
Principal
