Dear Lincoln School Community,
Thank you to all who attended and helped organize the Lincoln Military Bridge event last night. This evening of fun and community-building helps support our wonderful Lincoln School PTO. Congratulations to those that walked away winners!
We welcomed acclaimed children’s author Rosemary Wells back to Lincoln School this week for two days of special presentations and classroom visits. Rosemary did an illustration demo for grades K-2, a writing seminar for grades 3-4, and a full day of pushing into Language Arts classes in grade 5. She shared her passion for writing and illustrating, the secrets to good writing that captivates the reader, and read aloud from several of her books, providing background and context to make them come to life. Thank you to our PTO for supporting this return visit, and Mrs. Husstege for planning and coordinating the days!
Although the weather is cold and snow is in the forecast, we are already planning for the upcoming school year! One of the most exciting parts of the year is welcoming our newest Lincoln Lions to our school, and the first step in this process is the registration of our incoming Kindergarteners. Parents and guardians of incoming Kindergarteners, please click here for information on registering your child in the digital portal for September 2026. If you have an incoming Kindergartener who will be five years of age on or before October 1, 2026 that will be attending Lincoln School in September, please email Mrs. DiMeglio at mdimeglio@wyckoffschools.org so that we may begin planning accordingly. When registering, please select that your incoming Kindergartener is a sibling of a current student, by using the drop down indicating that your older child attends Lincoln School.
The next Family Connection Series presentation sponsored by the Wyckoff Curriculum Council will be held on Tuesday, February 3rd at 7pm at Eisenhower Middle School. This session, entitled “Raising Resilience,” will explore resiliency--what it is, the factors that contribute to resiliency, and how parents can grow resiliency in their children. Please click here to sign up.
Have a wonderful weekend, and stay safe in the winter storm!
Sincerely,
Patrick Lee
Principal
