Dear Parents/Guardians,
We had a wonderful first three days at Lincoln School, with students and staff reconnecting as a school family and our students becoming acclimated with their new grade levels. Students have adjusted well to the new school year, and are excited about being back together. Routines are being established, and a positive and supportive classroom community is being formed. Great job to all of our Lincoln Lions on a terrific start to the year!
Please mark your calendars! The Lincoln School Back to School Night is scheduled for Tuesday, September 16th, beginning at 6:30 pm. Details on the evening will be shared soon. We hope to see many of our parents/guardians in attendance to learn more about your child’s experience this year at Lincoln School. We value our home-school connection, and look forward to a wonderful year of collaboration!
On Thursday, September 11th, Lincoln School students and staff are invited to wear red, white, and blue in recognition of Patriot Day. Each and every day, and next Thursday in particular, we think of those that dedicate their lives in service to others. We honor, and remember, those who lost their lives on September 11th, and keep in our thoughts all who were affected.
We are excited to announce that students in grades K-2 have an upcoming author visit from award winning children's author and illustrator Rosemary Wells. Rosemary Wells is the creator of Max and Ruby as well as various other picture books for children. Rosemary will be visiting Lincoln School on Friday September 19, 2025. Hard copy forms went home today with students in grades K-2. Due to the timing of this upcoming visit, all author forms are due NEXT FRIDAY, September 12, 2025. Please click here to view the order form.
The Wyckoff Education Foundation is hosting their third annual “Color Run” on Saturday, September 27th at Eisenhower Middle School. Registration is now open, and flyers were sent home with your student today. On site registration time is at 9:30 am, and the run begins at 11:00 am. I hope to see many of you there, where you can see me get “blasted” with color!
Our online "Friday Folder" is a depository of important notices, flyers, and letters from the school and Wyckoff community. Please be sure to check the list of Friday Folder documents, which is included in each weekly E-Blast, and carefully read those that are pertinent to you and your child(ren). There is a link in each E-Blast to the electronic Friday Folder, which can also be accessed at any time through the Lincoln School website. If you need hard copies of any document on the Friday Folder, do not hesitate to reach out to the front office and we will be happy to print them for you.
Thank you again to you, your children, and the Lincoln staff for a great start to the school year.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Patrick Lee
Principal
