Dear Lincoln School Community,
We had an exciting week at Lincoln School! Field Day was a huge success, with students and staff having a wonderful time. Thank you to Mr. White and Ms. Miller for planning the day, and our PTO for their support with the t-shirts and Kona ice truck. I am most grateful to our volunteers and staff for guiding our students throughout the day. It was a great day to be a Lincoln Lion!
The artistic talents of our students were on full display last night at our Lincoln School Art Show. Several pieces from each student were hung throughout the school, in addition to a photo gallery and photo booth. Thank you to Mr. Castellano for a terrific evening!
Congratulations to our 4th and 5th grade band on a terrific spring instrumental concert on Tuesday. Conducted by Mr. Weidman and Mr. Vetrero, our young musicians played a variety of musical selections, and did a wonderful job in both the daytime and evening concert. Thank you to our students for sharing their talents with the Lincoln School community!
Thank you to our PTO for a wonderful end-of-year brunch and celebration this past Thursday. I am grateful for such an amazing and supportive Parent Teacher Organization. The support and collaboration of our families is vital to the success of our students, and I look forward to continuing our partnership in the upcoming school year. Thank you especially to our Executive Board, including PTO President Mrs. Rand, for their steady leadership throughout the year. Finally, congratulations to our Abe Award recipients, Mrs. Fox and Mrs. Galasso. We will miss you and your families, and thank you for your support over the years at Lincoln School!
Our Kindergarten celebrations will be held this upcoming week, on the mornings of June 13th and 14th, on the Kindergarten blacktop. We can't wait to celebrate our youngest Lincoln Lions as they prepare to become 1st graders! Please see the times in the "Important Dates" section below.
Our 5th grade families are invited to our "5th Grade Farewell," scheduled for Thursday, June 20th, at 9:15 am. This event will be held outside (weather permitting), and we will recognize all of our departing Lincoln Lions with a certificate of appreciation. In addition, several 5th grade awards will be distributed. We look forward to wishing our 5th graders well as they head off to middle school!
There are two important notices in the Friday Folder for our current 5th grade students. First, a letter regarding required immunizations and health forms for rising Eisenhower Middle School 6th graders for the 2024-2025 school year. The second form is a waiver for the 6th grade trip to Fairview Lake YMCA Camp in the Fall.

Today, your student came home with a pamphlet for our upcoming “Color Fun Run,” to be held on September 7th at Eisenhower Middle School, sponsored by the Wyckoff Education Foundation. Mark your calendars, this year's event is being held on Saturday, September 7, at 11 am at Eisenhower Middle. This will be the official kick off of the school year for the entire community. Here is a clip from last year:
Additionally, there is some friendly competition among the 5 schools:

Obviously, we want to win the “Top School for Donations”! Please help us get there! Every little bit counts!
