Dear Lincoln School Community,
We held our monthly Schoolwide Morning Meeting in the gymnasium today at the beginning of the school day. The entire school came together as a learning community and discussed last month’s core value of “Trust.” We shared what it means to be “trustworthy,” and celebrated being a reliable, honest, and responsible member of our school community. We also played a fun game of “1 or 2?!” - ask your child more about our Schoolwide Morning Meeting!
With Valentine’s Day approaching, as a reminder, children may bring in Valentine’s Day cards for their classmates, but we are not permitted to distribute cards that have candy, chocolates, etc., attached to them. If children do bring in Valentine’s, please ensure that they have one for each member of the class.
Finally, many of our students returned with new and exciting presents from the holiday break. Unfortunately, over the last several weeks, some of those items have become disruptive to the classroom learning environment. Specifically, smartwatches are not to be used during the day. Please also refrain from attempting to communicate with your child during the school day, and instead reach out via the main office for any timely communication. Like cell phones, smartwatch apps should not be used during the school day, and the focus should be on the teacher. Please remind your children of these expectations, and we will do the same here at school. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in helping our students stay on task and doing their personal best here in school!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Patrick Lee
Principal
