Dear Lincoln School Community,
It was an exciting and festive week at Lincoln School as we finished out the calendar year and headed into the winter break. On Tuesday, we welcomed Kyle Teel, Mahwah product and first round draft pick of the Boston Red Sox and Leah Boggs, starting catcher for the University of Virginia softball team, for an interview as part of an upcoming episode of “The Lion’s Den.” Look for their interview on an upcoming episode of “The Lion’s Den.” Today, we held our final monthly Schoolwide Morning Meeting of 2023 in the gym. It was wonderful to come together as a school community for one final time before the new year. The theme of our meeting was generosity, and we discussed gifts that don’t cost anything but are meaningful - such as kind words, a card of encouragement or gratitude, and extra chores or assistance around the house.
As 2023 winds to a close and we prepare for the excitement of the holidays, I want to extend my sincerest gratitude to each member of the Lincoln community for your commitment and support throughout the year. On behalf of Lincoln School, I wish you a joyous and peaceful holiday, and hope that you have a chance to reflect on all the wonderful things in life as you gather with family and friends. To those celebrating, I wish you a very Merry Christmas, and I look forward to all that 2024 has in store for the families of Lincoln School.
As a reminder, all District schools are closed for the New Year’s Day holiday on Monday, January 1, 2024. Lincoln School will reopen on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
