Dear Lincoln School Community,

Please note that the Outdoor Movie Nighttonight, Friday, October 6th, has been moved indoors due to the forecast.  We hope to see many in our Lincoln community in the gym for a showing of The Super Mario Bros. Movie. This event, free of charge, will be a great kickoff to the year and an opportunity for families to come together for a fun night out. The “doors open” at 6:30, with a 7:00 start time. Popcorn and water will be served. Thank you to our PTO for sponsoring this fun evening!

Thank you to Ms. Wiebe for coordinating the “Week of Respect” this past week. Activities and dress-up days helped to bring the school together to recognize respect for self, respect for others, and respect for our school community. “Respect” is also our Core Value for the month of October. I see so many examples each and every day of respect here at school - keep it up Lincoln Lions!

At Lincoln School on Wednesday morning, many students and parents participated in the annual “Walk and Bike to School Day.”  It was a great way to share with the community while showing the importance of exercise and fitness. Healthy snacks for the kids were provided, and we raffled off several Lincoln Lions. Thank you to our parent volunteers for coordinating and running this event.

The school photographer will be back at Lincoln School, Wednesday, October 25th, at 10:30 am for retakes. The photographer will retake pictures of those students who were absent, who are new to the district, whose eyes were closed or who had hair in their face for the photograph, or for those parents who personally contacted the photographer requesting a retake. Please email Mrs. DiMeglio at mdimeglio@wyckoffschools.org if your child will be taking a retake picture.

For planning purposes, our Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on November 6th and 13th. The conferences will run from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm on November 6th, and 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm on November 13th. Teachers will email an electronic signup form next Friday after school.

As a reminder, please note that there are two parking spaces (located near the median at the front of the school) reserved for winners of several PTO raffles throughout the year. Please be mindful to leave these spaces for the raffle winners, as they have generously donated to our PTO for these spots. On a related note, I encourage you to keep an eye out for when these spots are raffled off at events during the year, as they are coveted!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely,

Patrick Lee
Principal
